Boss is an Australian-owned automation brand that has been supplying garage door and gate openers under the Boss name since the early 2000s. The product is designed in Australia to suit Australian doors and gates — particularly the heavier Colorbond roller curtains and longer sliding gates common on acreage properties — with manufacturing in established overseas plants and final QA in Australia.
Boss has built a strong following with installers because the openers are simple to commission, parts are readily available and the price point sits below ATA and Merlin without sacrificing the basics — soft start/stop, courtesy lighting, rolling code remotes and reliable safety beam integration. The current range covers BOL roller door openers, BSB sectional openers, BHT tilt door openers and PR sliding gate motors.
Limitless is on Boss's authorised dealer list, which gives us trade pricing direct from the Australian distributor, factory-coded replacement remotes and full warranty administration on every install. We stock genuine Boss remotes, beams and circuit boards on the truck, so most service calls on Boss equipment are resolved in a single visit without waiting on parts.
The models we install most often across Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and SE Queensland.

Boss is our value pick when a customer needs a reliable opener but doesn't need the smartphone integration of Merlin myQ or the high-security TrioCode 128 remotes of ATA. BOL roller openers are heavily installed across rental properties and budget-conscious homes in Toowoomba, Pittsworth and Oakey. The BHT tilt opener is a hero product for restoration work — Boss is one of the only brands still making a dedicated tilt opener. PR sliding gate motors are popular on acreage in Cambooya, Greenmount and the Lockyer Valley.

Boss is Australian-owned and the product is specified, distributed and warranted in Australia. Manufacturing is offshore — which is true of most opener brands at this price point — but final QA, distribution and warranty service all run out of the Australian operation.
Boss sits below ATA and Merlin on price, slightly above on simplicity. You don't get app control or TrioCode 128 security, but you do get a reliable, easy-to-service opener with a solid warranty. For most residential garage doors that's exactly the right trade-off.
In nearly all cases, yes. Boss BOL fits any standard residential roller door regardless of brand. Boss BSB fits any standard sectional door. Boss BHT fits standard counterweight tilt doors. Existing remotes from B&D, Merlin or ATA won't transfer — the install includes new Boss remotes.
Boss provides a 5 year warranty on motor units and 12 months on accessories such as remotes and safety beams in domestic applications. Limitless administers warranty claims directly with the Australian Boss distributor on your behalf.
Yes — current Boss rolling code remotes are stocked by Limitless and most other authorised dealers. Older fixed-code Boss units from the early 2000s have been phased out and now require a small receiver upgrade to take a current rolling-code remote, which we can do in a single visit.
