A team of qualified boilermakers
The steel work is done in our own Harlaxton workshop by tradesmen on our own payroll, not sent out.

So the fencing and the timber work get done by us as well. One crew, start to finish.
Our own auto electricians
We wire up solar and low-voltage systems ourselves. If you want 240 volt power run out to the gate, we arrange a licensed electrician to do that bit.

Three ways to power it
Mains power
The usual choice when there's power near the gate. Strong, quick, and nothing to think about.
Solar
A small panel and a battery run the gate on their own. Good when the gate is a long way from the house, with no trench to dig.
Low voltage
Safe low-voltage gear that runs in a light cable instead of heavy mains. Handy for long driveways and cheaper to put in.
We'll tell you which one suits your place when we come out. It usually comes down to how far your gate sits from power.
Solar and low voltage we wire ourselves. Mains power we arrange a licensed electrician for.

We've got a real factory and showroom here in Toowoomba. Drop in any time, look at the doors, watch a gate being built. You can't do that with a one-man operation running out of a home garage.
We back the locals
We sponsor local sporting teams and we look after local families. Half our work comes from someone telling their neighbour about us. This is where we live, not just where we work.
We won't ghost you
If something isn't right after we've been, ring us and we'll come back. There's an office, a phone that gets answered, and a business that will still be here next year.

Custom gates — $1,100 to $6,500
Most of the gates we build land somewhere in that range.
Where yours sits comes down to the size, the design and the finish. Screening and fencing are quoted the same way — we come out, measure up, and give you one written price. Prices include GST.

Questions people ask us
How long does a custom gate take?
It depends on the design and the powder coat colour. We'll give you a timeframe with your quote, and we'll tell you straight away if it changes.
Do I need power out at the gate?
Not necessarily. If there's no power nearby, solar or low voltage will usually do the job without digging a trench up the driveway.
Can you match fencing I already have?
Usually yes. Send a photo through with your enquiry, or we'll take one when we come out.
Can you automate a gate you didn't build?
Often yes, if it's hung well and in good nick. We'll come and look and tell you honestly.
What colours can I have?
Any powder coat colour you like, and it's done locally. We'll bring the colour chart out with us.
Will it be safe around kids?
Yes. We fit safety beams and set the gate to stop if something's in the way. We'll walk you through all of it before we leave.
Do you do the gate and the motor as one job?
Yes, and that's the way we prefer it. One crew, one quote, and nobody pointing the finger at anybody else if something needs adjusting later.
Do you do pool fencing?
Yes. We build and install aluminium pool fencing, made in our own Harlaxton workshop in whatever powder coat colour you like. We come out and measure it up first.
